39 Valencian restaurants select Cerro Bercial as featured wines

So is! 39 Valencian restaurants have selected our range of Cerro Bercial wines as outstanding wines. Why? Among other reasons, for the excellent results obtained in the latest edition of the Peñín Guide. The Cerro Bercial range, from the Utiel-Requena PDO, consists of two wines, Blanco Selección, with 90 points, and the red Cerro Bercial Ladera Los Cantos, with 91 points.

The restaurants that already highlight Cerro Bercial among its wine list are Abadía d’Espí, Asador La Vid, Ca Sergi, Ca XoretCanela y Clavo, Casa Enrique, Casa GuillermoCasa Quitín, Ciro, Coloniales Huerta, Commo, Danubio Alameda, De tot un poc, El Celler del Tossal, El Famós, El Rek, El Rodamón de Ruzafa, Entrevins, La Alquería de la Font d’en Corts, La Bobal, La Boibella, La Muñeca, La Pepica, Levante Valencia, Mare Nostrum, Mare Nostrum, Moabi, Pata Negra, Pizzeria Miguel Angelo, Restaurante Navarro, Saiti, Sucrer ValenciaTaberna Alkázar, Tavella Restaurant, Trencadish, Vicentino y Viva Mascaraque.

Ladera Los Cantos and Blanco Selección are our most select wines. The grapes with which we make them come from our best plots of Camporrobles. Best for the characteristics of the soil, with stone on the surface, well aired hillside; and for its location, in the area of maximum altitude of the region, at 920 meters above sea level. Another quality data that influences the result of the wine is the age of the vineyard, in the case of red Ladera Los Cantos, of Bobal vines over 60 years old, and of Cabernet over 40 years old.

Both are wines of high expression with wood step, integrated perfectly respecting the identity of the fruit, which is felt in the tasting thanks to a careful process of preparation.

La Bobal is the grape that has the most presence in Ladera los Cantos, which is assembled with Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine goes through a first-use French oak barrel for 18 months, to then remain in the bottle for another 10 months until the so-called reductive aging process is complete. The result is a fine wine in aromas, fresh, complex and expressive.

Cerro Bercial Blanco Selección is made with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Macabeo, grapes from which only the must flower is obtained for its richness in aromas. This select wine stays for three months in French oak barrels, then spend another 9 months in stainless steel tanks for reductive aging. This wine combines with citrus aromas, white flower and soft toasted memories.

And of course, both can be enjoyed in all the restaurants that we have mentioned. Enjoy the pairing!
