Pasión de Bobal red and Pasión de Moscatel have been the top winners in their categories at the Provava awards for monovarietals 2018.

Both wines were also awarded in the contest that Proava performs as a prelude to its Mostra de Vins i Aliments in Valencia (Spain), for wines of all types, multi and varietals. In that case, Pasión de Moscatel won the gold medal and Pasión de Bobal red received the special distinction, the Proava grand prize for the best wine.

Pasión de Bobal red is a wine made from 100% Bobal grapes from old vines over 60 years old, with very low production but high quality. The vineyards are located in Camporrobles, in one of the highest areas of the Utiel-Requena region, at an altitude of 920 meters. This wine, in the few months that the 2016 vintage has been on the market, has obtained several gold medals, such as the Top Wine and the FEREVIN awards. The previous year received 13 awards, some of them in international competitions as relevant as the Concours Mondial Bruxelles or the Challenge International du Vin.

Pasión de Moscatel also takes a great tour. The 2017 vintage of this dry-vinified white wine has won four gold medals, in addition to the two from Proava, it has also won this top award in the Top Wine and Monovino contests. To the golds the silver medal in the Citadelles du Vin is united. Pasión de Moscatel is a very special wine since it is made only with Moscatel grape, which is usually used for sweet wines, but in this case it is a dry wine that maintains all the virtues that this Mediterranean grape brings to it: the aromas of white flowers, apricot and green apple. Ideal all year round, but even more so if it fits for these summer months ;)
