The friends of Fundación Asindown were this weekend with Alejandro Sanz, who received them during the two concerts that the singer has offered in Valencia. There they presented him with a case of the solidarity wines Genéticamente Rebeldes, which we make with great affection at the winery and whose profits go entirely to Asindown.

This project was born last year with the aim of contributing to the immense and important work carried out by the Asindown Foundation to support children, young people and adults with Down’s syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Since its birth in 1989, its work has focused on achieving the integral development of its members and promoting their full integration as an active part of society.

Alejandro Sanz received the two wines that form part of this solidarity collection, Genéticamente Rebeldes red and Genéticamente Rebeldes white.

Genéticamente Rebeldes red is a 100% Bobal with 6 months in oak barrels. Its grapes come from old vineyards over 60 years old. A luxury of raw material, since the old vineyards give less and less grapes, but its quality is exceptional. We recommend Alejandro to enjoy this wine with a good meat, a cheese board and a Valencian paella of chicken, rabbit and vegetables.

Genetically Rebeldes white is made from a coupage of Verdejo and Macabeo. This wine is delicately aged in tanks on its fine lees for 2 months, which gives the wine body and unctuousness. It is a wine marked by the Mediterranean climate, aromatic, fresh, with notes of white flowers, citrus and apricot. Alejandro, if you read us, this wine goes great with white fish, seafood and soft cheeses.
