These are the wine tourism events that we have prepared throughout this year 2023 at Bodega Sierra Norte, in La Roda.

You already know that in addition to these special activities that we are going to inform you about in this post, we offer wine tourism visits every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday. We have two types of visits to the winery, ‘Terroir Experience’, which consists of a guided tour and a wine and food pairing tasting. And we also have the ‘Escape Room Experience’ which includes an escape room experience in our winery. All the information can be found in our wine tourism booking centre.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS FEBRUARY 2023:

• Saturday, 11th February: Cheese and Wine Tasting

You will enjoy a delicious tasting of artisan cheeses, selected by the cheese factory La Torre de La Roda, which we will accompany with the wines Pasión de Bobal and Pasión de Moscatel, and the cava Pasión Cuvée Brut Nature.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS MARCH 2023:

• Saturday, 25th March: Truffle and Wine Day | OPEN REGISTRATION
  

We will learn how to find truffles and we will see a live demonstration of how Kia, a dog expert in this task, finds the truffles that we will bury in our vineyard. The experts from Diamante de la Sierra del Segura will show us the particularities of this delicious fungus and the attendees will be able to taste it in its natural state. In addition, we will enjoy a tasting pairing with 3 wines and a cava produced by our winery (Olcaviana Merlot, Pasión de Monastrell, 1564 Petit Verdot and Cava Pasión Cuvée Brut Nature) which will be accompanied by products made with truffles (truffled cheese, truffled oil, truffled cheese in oil and truffled saffron honey).

WINE TOURISM EVENTS APRIL 2023:

• Saturday, 22nd April: Sushi workshop

Our friends from Holykhansushi will teach you how to make sushi. This Japanese culinary technique will no longer be a mystery, as the workshop will be totally practical and you will be able to prepare your own sushi. During the workshop we will serve a selection of wines so that you can taste your creations and make the perfect pairing.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS MAY 2023:

• Saturday, 13th May: Open Doors Day
  

We have prepared an open day where we will bring together different professionals from the fields of crafts, wellness, beauty and gastronomy who will be conducting activities and live tastings that you can join. The event, which will be free, includes a visit to the winery. You can’t miss it!

WINE TOURISM EVENTS JUNE 2023:

• Saturday, 17 June: Blind Tasting.
  

In this event we will taste several wines without knowing which ones we are tasting. That’s the fun of this activity, which is also a game. The idea is that the participants will describe the characteristics of the wines according to the three phases of the tasting (visual, olfactory and gustatory) and then we will be able to compare with the real characteristics of the wines. A perfect activity to learn how to taste wines while having fun at the same time. The tasting will be supported by our oenologist Mapi Domingo.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS JULY 2023:

• Saturday, 15th July: Pink Party

The party for rosé wine lovers will come to La Roda during the month of July. You will taste our rosé wines and also the cava Pasión Cuvée Brut Rosé. They will be accompanied by a tasting dinner to make a perfect pairing.

• From 29 July to 5 August:: Tapas and Wines

The patron saint festivities of La Roda will be the reason to revamp our wine bar, open all year round, but with a wider range of tapas during these days.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS SEPTEMBER 2023:

• Saturday, 23rd September: Oenology Workshop

Discover the first steps in winemaking. We will show you in a practical way what happens once the grapes arrive at the winery, and we will invite you to take part in the process. You will be part of our 2023 vintage. The workshop will end with a picnic lunch accompanied by our wines.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS OCTOBER 2023:

• Saturday, 21 October: Sushi Workshop

If you already enjoy eating sushi, wait until you learn how to make it. Our friends from Holykhansushi will teach you the technique to make the most famous sushi: nigiri, maki, california maki… Of course, you will also enjoy a wine tasting that you can pair with the sushi you make.

WINE TOURISM EVENTS NOVEMBER 2023:

• Saturday, 18 November: Christmas ornaments workshop

Enjoy this workshop in which you will learn how to make your own Christmas decorations. We will have all the material ready and we will guide you so that you can learn different techniques and take home all the decorative pieces you prepare. The activity will also include a wine tasting and a tour of the winery. You will love it.
