What a week we are living! We have received the news of two very important prizes within the wine sector. The first of these has come from Germany, where the prestigious Mundus Vini contest has distinguished with a gold medal Equilibrio 9, a monovarietal of Monastrell from vineyards over 40 years, which in its preparation has spent nine months in barrels of French and American oak. It is a balanced wine that is awakening a lot of expectation in national and international competitions, in fact, recently has also received a gold in the Asian Wine Trophy and is rated with 92 points in the guide of James Suckling.

The second good news has been given to us by the Spanish Winemakers Federation, which in the second edition of its contest VinEspaña 2019, has awarded a silver to Cerro Bercial Ladera Los Cantos. It is a premium-profile wine, made with Bobal from 60-year-old vines, and Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards over 40 years old. Their grapes are collected manually, from selected plots, to obtain a high expression product. In its long and peculiar elaboration, the wine performs a malolactic fermentation in 100% French oak barrels of first use and ages in it up to 18 months.

In addition, Cerro Bercial Ladera Los Cantos was the only Valencian wine awarded within the category of reds :)
