The latest classification of the renowned wine critic James Suckling has placed five of our wines in one of the highest positions on the podium: Pasión de Bobal red, Equilibrio 9, Equilibrio 4, 1564 Petit Verdot and Mariluna red. Some wines that are worth knowing. We present them to you!

But first we talked about the level associated with the James Suckling list, which is one of the most influential critics worldwide. He is American and his criticisms have great repercussion in the American and Asian markets.

In the latest edition of a list that all wineries want to enter, Suckling has scored the following wines with 91 points.

PASIÓN DE BOBAL red – Vintage 2017

Monovarietal wine of Bobal grape with 6 months of passage through French oak barrels. Passion of Bobal is tasty, very fruity, with spherical tannins and good acidity.

EQUILIBRIO 9 – Vintage 2017

The Monastrell in all its heyday. This monovarietal has 9 months of mixed aging in second-fill barrels, 60% French oak and 40% American oak. It is a wine with volume, frank and persistent.

EQUILIBRIO 4 – Vintage 2016

Monovarietal Monastrell wine with 4 months of mixed aging barrels, in American and French oak barrels. In the mouth it is tasty, fresh, slightly balsamic, with a good body and well marked ripe tannins.

1564 PETIT VERDOT – Vintage 2017

This wine is one of the newcomers. 2017 is its first vintage and it is presented with a lot of volume and complexity in the mouth. Very long and elegant. In a 100% Petit Verdot.

MARILUNA red – Vintage 2017

Good structure in the mouth, silky, tasty and spicy, with well integrated acidity and long aftertaste of red fruit and roasted. It has 6 months of aging and is made with Tempranillo and Bobal.

The Suckling 2019 list has also scored several of our wines with 90 points, these have been: Fuenteseca white, Pasión de Monastrell and Olcaviana Tempranillo.
